Helping Steampunk decide what to sound like since 2017
the steam powered radio available from here
(ok so it's not strictly steam powered and not strictly a radio)
Napiers Bones
Traffic anyone?
Nate Horsfall Experience, the
"Solum," is a nice atmospheric instrumental with metal overtones.
Nautilus '54
Emo steampunk from Michigan
Needle Poppets
Nice Maudlin piano which reminds me of that version of "Mad World," that did awfully well some years ago until the disco beat kicked in. Definitely cogworthy. At least 4.
New Jacobin Club
I rather like these and their alt-80s sound. Canadian apparently. I was convinced they were really supposed to be called Jacobean but it would seem not.
No Pun Intended
Bloodhound Gang quality rapping over computer game music but Steampunk'd is quite a fun tune.
Not Waving But Drowning
Close harmony, squalid cabaret indeed. This is what Steampunk can sound like.
Nyx, Katie
I like Katie, she is half Throwing Muses half Blly Bragg. She is self identifying as Steam Punk which I wouldn't have necesarily guessed but that's not my job. Check out the Dollhouse Collection.
