Lady Laudanum

I'd half intended to do a musical project called "Sweet Lady Laudanum," inspired by a line form the BBC drama "Desperate Romantics," I've been sort of beaten to it. Very good dark and atmospheric definitely deserves some cogs, music quite varied but all enjoyable.

Larken, Lauren, Vaughn, Ceci, Trail, Juliet

Barenakedladies write a very mediocre Broadway musical

Laudanum Acoustique Experience, the

Quite country sounding with a bit of a Nick Cave growl to the vocals at times. Lo-fi in feel "Undertaker," is reminiscent of Bob Dylan.

Lavona, Miss Mamie, and the Exotic Mulatta and Her White Boy Band

Gypsy instrumentation with a traditional female music hall vocal

Law, Jessica

Quite music hall and very listenable, a kind of vaudeville Tori Amos. Well worth a listen. Acoustic folk perhaps.

Lederrick

Nice breakbeats currently drowned out by my washing machine but I like the vibe. Lazy and laid back.

Lenino

There's a clock ticking early on that always scores some points from me. There seems to be a bit of a medieval vibe as well. Well worth some cogs. A steampunk madrigal perhaps.

Lepre, Amanda

Another track from the "Spectrum of Mana," compilation that could be a lost Tull b-side. Are Tull steampunk? They've been pretty much everything else and could I am sure have given it a fair stab. I will set myself the challenge of revisiting their ouvre and finding the most SP tracks. "Arid Sands," still has its fair proportion of Tull influence but more from their early 80s electronic period than the 70s pomp pinnacle.

Lies of the Machine

Quite epic sounding - Can create a rather nice almost medieval feel. Definitely worth checking out.

Life Towards Twilight

Scratchy music boxes. All the cogs in the world!

Litmus Steampunk Band

One of those semi-bavarian oompah cockney kind of mash ups. Could imagine these doing a soundtrack to a Mary Poppins remake- hang on...

Based round quite standard 60s song structures.

Luna

see wandering cellist probably

Lurk

Immediately reminded of "Monster," era REM which was the point at which that particular band first disappointed but small ponds etc. these come across as pretty good.
