Helping Steampunk decide what to sound like since 2017
the steam powered radio available from here
(ok so it's not strictly steam powered and not strictly a radio)
Iannone, Vincent D.
This is what steampunk sounds like. 4 out of 5 cogs. Sinsiter music box instrumentals from the Steam Puzzle soundtrack album. Well worth a listen and once again available through our friends at band camp. Wonderful!
Immram
"The Voyage of Corvus Corrone," aparently a 70s synth prog classic, which questions the steampunk label but does sound good and I've always liked 70s synth prog
Indigo Lotus Band
"Steampunk Outpost," is alright but quite contemporary sounding. Other tracks are all quite listenable in an American alt-rock kind of way. "Ejecta," could almost be Brian Adams if he hadn't made a lot of money with another song.
Inner Prospekt
quite modern and dancey in an alternative way
Insomniac Folklore
Another Voltaire esque lo-fi American folk
Iron Boot Scrapers
Quite Music Hall with indie sensibilities from Brighton.
Isambard Kingdom, the
The Isambard Kingdom will be the best Seampunk band on the planet as soon as I get round to finding a band, writing some songs and recording some tunes but the point I am making is that the name is already taken, O.K.
It Has To End Someday
Quite Metal. Good at what they do. Hard to tell why they think they might be Steampunk.
