Steampowered Radio is a companion site to my original internet endeavor gothapedia. However what differs here is whilst I have a clear idea of what Goth sounds like(and you might be a little surprised by some of the entries) Steampunk seems to have struggled to identify a coherent sound, although to be fair you could throw the same accusation at Goth given the wide variety between Apocalyptic Folk and Industrial, but I digress...

Here there be artists who I consider steampunk although the vast majority are those who self identify through forums such as BandCamp which i guess could be a cynical attempt to widen their potential fan base but hopefully the majority see something in the scene they wish to associate with.

Bands that make their music available as a free download will tend to get a more thorough evaluation as I can put it on in my car. Bands that only stream will get a cursory listen but a one off.

The plan is to go for a mostly alphabet based format. That should be accessible below...
